Jet2.com, one of UK’s leading airlines, Joins Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network (GMLPN)

As an employer provider, Jet2 offers a large range of apprenticeship programmes across many sectors, including Engineering, IT & Digital, and Customer Service. These programmes are designed to equip learners with the skills and experience needed to thrive in such a dynamic industry.

In Autumn 2022, the company introduced the Thrive Learning and Skills platform within its Customer Contact Centre. A platform combining e-learning, upskilling, communications, and collaborative knowledge sharing, enabling colleagues to connect and develop their skills effectively. This initiative was recognised with the Gold Award for Best Use of Social Collaborative Learning at the 2023 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.

Chloe Ramsden, Partnership Manager at GMLPN said:

“We are delighted to announce that Jet2 has become a member with us at GMLPN. This partnership highlights their commitment to developing talent and providing exceptional learning opportunities within the Greater Manchester region for their staff and apprentices.

By joining GMLPN, Jet2 will be able to enhance learning opportunities and outcomes across Greater Manchester. They bring valuable industry insight and high-quality training programmes that align with our goals of bridging skills gaps and supporting local talent. This collaboration is set to further enrich the educational landscape of the region.”

Emily Hobson, Jet2 Engineering Apprenticeship and Part 66 Manager said:

“We are excited to join the GMPLN network and look forward to collaborating with other providers in the local network.  As an Employer Provider our Apprentices get to see and work on live aircraft from the first day of their apprenticeship. All our training is delivered in house, within our state of the art engineering and training facilities. In addition, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has commended Jet2.com on its industry-leading engineering training provision. This accolade reflects the company’s innovative approach and its role in setting new benchmarks within the industry.  We continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our apprenticeship program, ensuring that our trainees are well-equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the engineering sector.”
