Our Board Members

Billy is a well‑established leader within Greater Manchester’s VCSFE and skills ecosystem. As co‑founder of UK Funding Futures, he has supported over 400 women into training, confidence‑building, and employability pathways in two years and now delivers contracted programmes with four GM local authorities and the GMCA, giving him strong insight into local delivery, commissioning, and learner needs. He represents the sector on regional and place‑based forums, including the Enterprise Grant Funding Taskforce and the Bolton Social Enterprise Network, and brings additional strengths from senior roles in banking, consulting, and social enterprise development, offering valuable expertise in governance, risk management, and organisational sustainability.

Allan Milne, Director of Business Development and Apprenticeships at Salford City College Group –a collective group of colleges across Salford. Each college prides itself on delivering the best teaching and learning possible.

Tracey is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and a member of the Executive Team at Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG). She leads commercial growth, employer engagement and partnerships, ensuring provision aligns to local and regional skills priorities and delivers impact for learners, employers and communities. Tracey is passionate about inclusive growth and strengthening collaboration across Greater Manchester’s skills system.

Mark was instrumental in establishing GMLPN and since becoming Chair in 2004, he has been the driving force in establishing the Network as a highly respected force in the skills and education eco-system in Greater Manchester. Mark is CEO of Mantra Learning, one of the largest Logistics Training Providers in the city region and its sister company The National Logistics Academy, the largest provider of logistics apprenticeships in the country. Mark also founded the forerunner to the Northern Skills Network and represents Training Providers on many local and regional advisory boards and committees.

Nikki has worked in the education sector for over 23 years and has an array of experiences in developing, delivering and assuring high quality training and assessments in large Training Providers.  Nikki is passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to access quality educational teaching and assessment to support long-term, sustainable career goals.  At Kaplan, Nikki is Head of Client Solutions and Quality, developing, designing, and delivering tailored assessments and qualification service solutions

Daniel joined the Board in January 2022 and is Managing Director at NowSkills, a provider specialising in digital apprenticeships. Joining the Further Education sector in 2010, he has worked as an apprentice himself, recruiting learners, employer engagement, assessing, tutoring, and as a senior manager. He is passionate about seeing people learn & develop, achieve their very best and – as he is in digital – all things EdTech. His commitment to people is demonstrated in his membership as ‘Fellow’ to the Institute of Leadership (IoL) and ‘Chartered Fellow’ of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), being a member of the ‘Senior People Professionals Network’ there too.

Subrah joined the Board in January 2022 and is Deputy Director – Research & Information Systems at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce
