The National Logistics Academy is part of Mantra Learning Ltd. We are UK’s leading Logistics learning and development organisation, with 52 years of industry recognition. We provide support and development to help people and change lives and work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Travis Perkins, Dixons Carphone Warehouse, and Eddie Stobart.

Under our brands “The National Logistics Academy, Job Gym & Mantra Learning’’ we work with over 600 Apprentices, support over 3500 people get back to work and improve their life chances and mental health, as well as training over 1000 people to become HGV drivers each year.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Skills Coach to join our expanding team and support our apprentices through their learning journey, helping them to achieve their goals and enable life changing career progression.

The Role

Your primary focus will be to deliver and coordinate quality training and assessment, working with your apprentices and their mentors to ensure that the necessary skills and knowledge are being developed for apprentices to succeed in their job roles.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Delivering high quality and innovative teaching and coaching via Teams or on company and employer premises
  • Inspire apprentices to develop their careers within logistics.
  • Work with apprentices, their mentors and line managers to ensure learning is completed in line with the apprenticeships scheme of work.
  • To ensure the learner gains the knowledge and skills to achieve excellent outcomes in their apprenticeships.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the department and your team.

Essential Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong digital, spoken and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic and can inspire others
  • Ability to interact and confidently engage people using virtual/digital platforms e.g., Teams

This position is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week.
Hybrid working with travel to Middleton, Greater Manchester as required.
£25,000 - £28,000 per annum + performance incentive scheme dependant on experience and qualifications.
