Off the job training is mandatory training which is received by the apprentice, during the apprentice’s normal working hours, for the purpose of achieving the knowledge, skills and behaviors defined in the apprenticeship standard. This is usually delivered by the training provider and supports the apprentice to prepare for the End Point Assessment.

Apprentices can book annual leave with their employer at any time of year.

You would apply to the employer who has already decided which university they will partner with before the apprenticeship job vacancy is posted.

If you’re not currently in full time education you can search and apply for vacancies at any time. For Year 13 students vacancies will start to appear from October of Year 13 right through to the end of academic year. For Year 11 students, its slightly late, vacancies tend to go live from early February until the end of the academic year.
