The Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network (GMLPN), in collaboration with Manchester: A UNESCO City of Lifelong Learning, is proud to announce the appointment of Emma Lowe-Hewitt, Quality, Compliance and Functional Skills Manager at Rochdale Training, as the new Chair of the Quality Exchange Group.

The Quality Exchange is a cornerstone of GMLPN’s Exchange Initative, bringing together Quality Leads and colleagues from Further Education (FE) providers in Greater Manchester to facilitate collaboration, share best practice, and drive continuous improvement in quality assurance.

Emma’s appointment comes at a time of significant transformation within the FE sector. With changes to Ofsted’s inspection framework, evolving apprenticeship assessment models, and the introduction of Foundation Apprenticeships, the need for robust quality leadership has never been greater. Under Emma’s guidance, the Exchange will continue support members in navigating these developments, ensuring quality remains central to all aspects of provision.

Emma Lowe-Hewitt, Quality, Compliance and Functional Skills Manager at Rochdale Training, said:
“I am honoured to be appointed Chair of the GMLPN Quality Exchange. This role presents a valuable opportunity to contribute to a network committed to excellence and collaboration across the sector. I look forward to supporting members by broadening the scope of our discussions, bringing in insights on funding compliance, audits, and quality assurance, while continuing to build on our collective understanding of Ofsted and the evolving inspection framework. I am passionate about continuous improvement and excited to work alongside colleagues to share best practice, drive innovation, and strengthen quality across all areas of provision.”

GMLPN warmly welcomes Emma into the role and looks forward to working with her to support providers in responding to the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Charlotte Jones, Head of Operations at GMLPN:
