GMLPN Seeks Board of Directors & Advisory Board Positions to Support Next Phase of Growth

As Greater Manchester’s provider-led network for skills, employment and education, GMLPN is delighted to announce two exciting opportunities for member organisations to help shape the future direction of the network and strengthen its impact across the region.

We are seeking applications for:

GMLPN Board of Directors

We are looking to appoint up to two new Board Directors who can bring strategic leadership and sector expertise to support the continued development of GMLPN.

We are particularly interested in applications from individuals who can bring:

  • Leadership experience within an Independent Training Provider (ITP).
  • Expertise in inclusion, equality, diversity, social mobility, and learner engagement.
  • Strong stakeholder networks across Greater Manchester.
  • Strategic leadership, governance, and partnership experience.
  • Exceptional knowledge of the Further Education, Skills, and Employment sector.

Our Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of GMLPN, ensuring that we continue to represent and support our members while influencing skills and employment priorities across Greater Manchester.

GMLPN Advisory Board

We are also recruiting new members to join our Advisory Board, providing strategic advice, sector intelligence and insight that supports both the Board of Directors and the wider network.

We are particularly interested in applications from individuals who can bring:

  • Senior leadership experience within education, skills, employment, business, community or related sectors.
  • A strong understanding of the Further Education and Skills landscape.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting employers, learners, and communities across Greater Manchester.
  • Experience of partnership working and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic thinking, influence, and sector leadership experience.
  • Specialist expertise in areas such as apprenticeships, adult skills, employability, inclusion, workforce development, higher education, community learning or economic development.

The Advisory Board provides valuable intelligence, challenge and sector insight that helps ensure GMLPN remains responsive to the needs of providers, employers, communities and strategic partners while supporting the achievement of the network’s vision and objectives
