The Value of GM Maths Ambassadors
The Maths Ambassador Exchange has been running successfully for the past two years – join us on the 28th to find out more and get involved!
With maths now firmly positioned within inclusion, leadership and staff capability conversations, including under the current Ofsted framework, providers are expected to ensure that:
- learners’ needs are understood and supported,
- staff across roles have the confidence to respond effectively,
- and responsibility for maths is shared rather than siloed.
This one-hour webinar, taking place on Wednesday 28 January at 10:00am, is designed to:
- raise awareness of the Maths Ambassador Exchange,
- invite new members to join our growing community,
- and encourage whole-organisation engagement
This session is open to all GMLPN members and is relevant to leaders, teachers, support staff, quality teams, curriculum and employer engagement colleagues. There is no limit to the number of members within an organisation.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the purpose, evolution and impact of the Maths Ambassador Exchange.
- Recognise how maths fits within Ofsted’s inclusion and leadership expectations, particularly around staff capability and learner support.
- Identify the organisational benefits of multiple colleagues engaging, supporting consistency, shared language and confidence across teams.
- Understand what being a Maths Ambassador involves, including the flexible commitment and ways individuals and teams can participate.
- Feel confident to join and encourage colleagues to join, knowing that curiosity, positivity and engagement matter more than subject expertise.
