A new Chief Executive has taken up her role at independent training provider Alliance Learning.

Lyn Bolton has worked in the education, skills and employment sector for more than 20 years.

She has extensive experience of working with employers to design and deliver workforce development programmes.

Alliance Learning, which is part of the University of Bolton Group, is based in Horwich, Bolton, and delivers apprenticeships and training courses throughout the North West.

Lyn said: “I am delighted to be in post at such a well-respected training organisation as Alliance Learning.

“I have a passion for apprenticeships and working collaboratively with other organisations.

“Our primary focus is to enable individuals to be the best they can be.”

Lyn takes over after the departure of Kelly Perkin, who worked at Alliance Learning for almost 20 years, the last four as Chief Executive.

David Haslam, Group Director of Apprenticeships at the University of Bolton, said: “We are pleased to welcome Lyn to Alliance Learning and excited to continue our mission to help create success through learning.

“We are focused on an extremely high standard of delivery in teaching and learning and we look forward to Lyn helping to drive the organisation to the next level.”
