The Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network (GMLPN) is pleased to welcome Manchester First as a member of the network, further strengthening collaboration across education, training and skills provision in Greater Manchester.
Manchester First includes organisations and individuals who have a wide range of experience and skills. It offers consultancy and training services to help to build the capacity of other organisations, particularly those in the Voluntary and Community Sector.
Working through a network of partner centres and delivery sites, Manchester First supports learners in developing essential skills, vocational qualifications from Entry level to level 3, including a range of subject sector areas programmes. The organisation has a strong focus on supporting individuals who are furthest from the labour market, helping them to build confidence, improve their well-being, gain qualifications and progress into employment or further learning.
By joining GMLPN, Manchester First becomes part of a growing network of providers, partners and stakeholders committed to improving outcomes for learners, addressing regional skills priorities and supporting inclusive growth across Greater Manchester.
Commenting on the partnership, Chloe Forrest, Partnership Manager at GMLPN, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Manchester First to the network. Their strong community focus and expertise in supporting adult learners, particularly those facing barriers to employment, adds real value to our collective work across Greater Manchester. We look forward to working together to support inclusive skills development across the region.”
Anne Horan, Director from Manchester First added:
“Joining the GMLPN network is a fantastic opportunity for us to deepen our impact across Greater Manchester. We share a common goal of breaking down barriers to learning and employment, and we’re excited to collaborate with like-minded partners to create real, lasting change for adult learners in our communities.”
Through this partnership, GMLPN and Manchester First will work together to strengthen collaboration across the sector, share insight and expertise, and support the development of a high-quality, inclusive skills system that meets the needs of learners, communities and employers across the region.
