Description
Bury Adult Learning Service is looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Examination Officer. The post holder will be based at the Bury Adult Learning Centre – occasional home working is available depending on job need.

Hours of work will be 37 per week, over 5 days, Monday to Friday. Usual hours of work are 9am to 5pm, although flexi time is available. There may times where evening work will be required.
- The post holder will need to have knowledge and understanding of examination procedures, with a good level of English, maths and IT skills.
- The post holder will need to be able to work on own initiative whilst supporting the wider Adult Learning Service team on all aspects of examinations policies and procedures.
The Examination officer will report directly to the Assistant Head of Service and will be responsible for an examination assistant. Excellent communication skills and team working is essential.
Bury Adult Learning is a service within Bury Council. It is externally funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the Education and Skills Authority to provide learning opportunities to adults. The service is based in the centre of Bury, across from the Town Hall and the Metrolink.
