The introduction of th e dedicated evaluation area for inclusion requires providers to move from compliance to demonstrating embedded and impactful support systems tailore d to their specific local context and learners’ needs. The Toolkit also widens the inspection lens from focusing on protected characteristics and SEND to also looking at socio-economically disadvantaged learners\, those without level 2 English and/or maths\, those known to social care or the y outh justice system\, young carers and those with other barriers to learni ng such as ill health\, bereavement or homelessness.\n\nThis workshop will help delegates understand what The Further Education and Skills Toolkit s ays about inclusion and ensure delegates know how to evidence they are mee ting at least expected standard and what they must to do reach strong stan dard. The session will help delegates understand and apply the inclusion i nspection methodology\, including key meetings\, case sampling and inclusi on learning walks. It will show how to evidence effective identification o f learners’ needs\, reduce barriers to learning\, review and adapt suppo rt\, and use a graduated approach to ensure support remains appropriate.
